Hospital University Involves

Discovery
Patients participate in research and enquiry about their own condition and the condition of others, including carers and all aspects of the wider health environment. They do this through a range of activities that include reflection, action research, reading, story making, journal and diary entries, filming, writing, performing, portfolio and story-boarding.

Technology
Patients use existing and emerging technologies and social media to promote collaboration between themselves and others, to break down barriers, to know our conditions and symptoms and to enhance accessibility.

Space and Spatiality
Patients build and design spaces and places that promote the flow of energy and life, removing walls and barriers that prevent our ability to communicate with each other as patients, partners and practitioners.

Research and Evaluation
Patients work together to evaluate our success and failures in the co-production of health and wellness, recognising and celebrating new discoveries, publishing and sharing these in the pursuit of sustainable lives and dignified death.

Projects
Hospital University encourages and supports patients to experiment with new, recovered and remembered ways of living and dying.

Intelligent Communities
Intelligence from these experiments informs the creation of a collaborative research community. Hospital University grows and nurtures this body of knowledge and the power of intelligent communities to influence existing health and care systems and practice.
